How does it work?
After the application of 3S Anti-Slip Solution to the stone/tile flooring, numerous invisible micron apertures are formed on the floor surface.
This increases the ground abrasive coefficient and vacuum suction effect to generate the anti-slip effect.
The coefficient of friction of the floor will be increased to provide a safer surface for us to walk on.
Before 3S Anti-Slip Application
When the shoes/slippers/bare feet are in contact with the ground, the contact surface of the two is mostly water or grease, which creates a potential slipping hazard.
After 3S Anti-Slip Application
The surface is less slippery due to surface tension and vacuum suction effect.
Static coefficient of friction
*According to the Design Manual: Barrier Free Access 2008 (2021 edition) published by Buildings Department of the goverment of HKSAR, it's classified as 'Good' grading and the material surface is satisfactory for normal use with an approximate "static coefficient of friction" value below 0.8 but at or above 0.5" measured in dry condition.
In general, the floor should be slip-resistant with this grading or above.
